It«s In You Each one of us is a potential channel for a great work of art. However, few have the will, the ability and the perseverance to bring forth that which is within them. And too often, those who possess these attributes, are hindered by a lack of time and distraction-free space. Simplify! We«ve designed the perfect space to facilitate creative expression. If you have begun to manifest a creative work-a book for example-and need only a block of focused time to advance your project or hone your skills, we recommend this program. Surrounded by the creative forces of nature, you will be relieved of the whirring, buzzing and beeping of your daily urban life and freed of distractions like food preparation, laundry and cleaning. Gift of the Ancients Genesis Ek Balam is in the shadow of a great work of architecture and art: the ancient city of Ek Balam (Black Jaguar). The stunning high-relief stucco work on the citadel«s acropolis proves the creative and technical genius of a culture the experts are just beginning to understand. Genesis Ek Balam is designed for comfort without compromising your experience of authentic local culture and ecology. Accommodations All cabins and rooms are screened and have porches, comfortable beds, fans or air conditioning, and hammocks. Including the 2 cabin tents with double beds, Genesis can accommodate 15 participants. Our Maya Cooks The food we prepare is simple, healthful and based on local tradition and the availability of locally harvested ingredients.
